It is an excellent guide to people interested in poly, with excellent comebacks for common arguments.

Re: Friends Polyamory Page
Sun, February 8, 2004 - 7:30 PMWow, thanks muchly! I have a hard time explaining to the normals sometimes. Or even the swingers. Do you know the local poly scene in MA at all? The starting point is we meet at the Diesel Cafe (257 Elm St) in Somerville as a group every Tuesday night starting at about 3:30PM and going to about 9PM or so.
Cheers,

Mon, February 9, 2004 - 3:02 PMNo problem!
I'm on the PolyBoston mailing list, so do know about the Diesel Cafe meetings (thanks for the heads-up though).
I don't know how likely it would be for me to attend those, until I have local friends interested in going with me. I don't drive, so getting around outside of Worcester is going to be a bitch. -

Sat, February 14, 2004 - 12:34 AMAh bummer, I can understand that, the outlying communities from Boston also seem to meet through Family Tree more anyway as I hear it. Ah well, welcome welcome :).
Have you figured out the commuter rail system yet? It's much easier from the T-stations. How are you managing your transition to Boston so far?
I'm actually up in Montreal for the weekend for a kink positive happy Valentine's day. How is you? -

Re: Friends Polyamory Page
Sat, February 14, 2004 - 9:04 AMI studied the MBTI and WRTA before I left the West coast, and have a fair grasp of it. It's just such a hassle just to get to a T-station, unless my roommate can give me a ride.
Worcester is ok. Not as great as San Francisco, but much better than my one-month layover in Las Vegas. The drivers are very aggressive, and I've already had a hassle at the DMV trying to get a state ID and a liquor ID (apparently, any letter addressed to a person, used for address verification, must be typed, and cannot be printed). I find it ridiculous that I might be turned away at a liquor store/night club just because I don't have a liquor ID. It's redundant. And the liquor ID costs $10 more than the state ID. *growl*
Have fun in Montreal! V-Day is being spent alone physically, but with warm happy fuzzies from friends, lovers and crushes on the aether. -

Mon, February 16, 2004 - 12:43 PMAh sure, I had a look at the Worcester line, it's one of the tougher ones to get around, especially late at night. Hmmm what's a liquor ID? Interesting ... I still don't have either, I use just my Canadian ID so far.
Wow, had a great time in Montreal, jazz club called House of Jazz was very open minded sort of place, reminded me of New Orleans, old time slow swinging jazz.
Got his and hers hot stone massages for my primary, and a nice pearl necklace I've had my eye on for her. And then we went out to "Le Beaver Club". Now what would you assume went on there if you didn't know?
Big huggles, I understand how you are feeling. Still just settling in but followed by a warm soft envelope of people who care. Be well.

Re: Friends Polyamory Page
Sat, September 18, 2004 - 6:57 AMI was a bit curious about Family Tree when looking up poly groups in the wider area online (I'm down in Holyoke). Their page says you need a referral from three current members to join! It sounds more like people would meet initially through neutral public events like Diesel and then be drawn in. Maybe that isn't the intended impression, but it's the one I got.
